Job Description

SodexoLive! specializes in delivering premium food service and guest experiences at high-profile venues including airports, sports arenas, and entertainment centers. Their team is composed of experienced professionals passionate about food innovation, service excellence, and crafting memorable moments for guests. Specifically, SodexoLive! is seeking an Executive Chef to support the exclusive Cathay Pacific Lounge at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) in San Francisco, CA. This lounge serves as a sanctuary for travelers, providing an environment where passengers can relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy upscale culinary offerings while awaiting their flights.

The Executive Chef role at SodexoLive! is a pivotal leadership position responsible for driving culinary excellence and innovation within a premium airport lounge setting. This role involves developing long-term culinary innovation strategies and standards that meet both customer expectations and financial goals. The chosen candidate will craft customized and distinct culinary experiences, leveraging comprehensive knowledge of global cuisines to ensure that the lounge menu remains unique and sophisticated. Responsibilities include formulating seasonal menus, signature dishes, and curated items in collaboration with client partners, while adhering to Sodexo’s food management and transformation platforms.

In addition to culinary innovation, the Executive Chef will play a key role in team development by providing coaching, mentoring, and balanced feedback to culinary team members. The role supports ongoing operational excellence through participation in pre-openings, openings, re-starts, and new seasonal menu launches, ensuring the lounge maintains top-tier service and menu standards at all times. Job Requirements

  • associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years management experience
  • 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
  • ability to stay current with new culinary trends
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • strong coaching and employee development skills
  • passion for food and innovation

Job Qualifications

  • associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 2 years management experience
  • minimum 2-3 years of culinary experience in a recognized concept or hospitality location
  • excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain high culinary standards
  • strong coaching and employee development skills
  • passion for food and innovation

Job Duties
