Job Requirements
- valid first or second-class medical certificate at time of application
- possession of current commercial or ATP pilot certificate with required ratings
- minimum total flight time of 1750 hours
- minimum pilot-in-command time of 1150 hours
- minimum of 75 hours night flying experience
- minimum of 100 hours flying time in the last 12 months
- minimum of 500 hours flying fixed wing or rotorcraft heavy aircraft
- completion of FAA initial flight test training courses
- one year specialized experience equivalent to FV-I, FG/GS-13
- ability to complete required training and certifications
- candidates with military flight experience must provide official documentation proving rated status
Job Qualifications
- valid commercial pilot certificate or airline transport pilot rating with appropriate instrument and multi-engine ratings
- possession of a valid first or second-class medical certificate
- completion of required flight test training or equivalent military flight test school
- one year specialized experience equivalent to FV-I, FG/GS-13 level
- demonstrated knowledge of flight test procedures and aircraft performance analysis
- minimum total flight time of 1750 hours including pilot-in-command and night flying hours
- experience operating heavy multi-engine airplanes or helicopters
- proficiency in instrument flying including actual and simulated conditions
Job Duties
- conduct flights to test aircraft performance and safety
- evaluate data from flight tests and provide detailed analysis
- operate heavy multi-engine airplanes or helicopters in accordance with FAA standards
- complete and maintain accurate flight records and documentation
- participate in required FAA training and certification courses
- perform flight checks and demonstrate proficiency in flight test techniques
- collaborate with engineering and safety teams to support regulatory compliance
