Job Requirements

  • US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • FAA Certified Professional Controller certification
  • minimum five years FAA CPC experience at same or greater level facility
  • ability to obtain Instructor-II Simulation Laboratory and Classroom Certification
  • experience with ATC simulators and scenario design preferred
  • demonstrated communication skills with FAA personnel
  • no current requirement for COVID-19 vaccination though customer site rules apply

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • FAA Certified Professional Controller certification
  • ability to obtain and maintain Instructor-II Simulation Laboratory and Classroom Certification
  • minimum five years FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic or recent FAA contract instructor experience
  • experience at Phoenix TRACON or equivalent level facility
  • excellent teaching and platform skills
  • demonstrated ability to manage classrooms effectively and deliver student-focused training
  • strong interpersonal skills to work with FAA personnel at all levels

Job Duties

  • Deliver classroom and simulation laboratory training to developmental and certified air traffic controllers
  • mentor students and Remote Pilot Operators
  • design and develop curriculum and training scenarios
  • maintain up-to-date knowledge of FAA ATC automation and simulation systems
  • interface with FAA personnel to align training with operational requirements
  • obtain and maintain necessary FAA instructor certifications
  • ensure compliance with FAA training standards and policies
