Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an air or ocean import specialist for a freight forwarder
  • Proficient in freight forwarding software such as CargoWise, SAP, AS400
  • Understanding of relevant state, federal, and international laws and regulations related to customs and import services
  • Strong work ethic with appreciation for ownership, independence, accountability, and autonomy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and expanding environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an air or ocean import specialist for a freight forwarder
  • Proficient in freight forwarding software systems such as CargoWise, SAP, and AS400
  • Knowledge of customs, security, and other import government agency regulations
  • Strong work ethic with ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Coordinate ocean and air import shipments
  • Manage and update freight forwarding software systems
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international import regulations
  • Liaise with customs and other import government agencies
  • Track and resolve shipment issues
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients
  • Maintain accurate import documentation
