Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • must be a US Citizen
  • active Top Secret Clearance required with ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • minimum 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent
  • strong knowledge of DoD Foreign Clearance Guide and policies
  • excellent communication and interagency coordination skills
  • ability to prepare detailed documentation and briefings
  • experience with international aviation and sovereignty matters
  • ability to manage complex projects
  • available to work onsite at the Pentagon

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience or Associate's degree with 11 years of experience or High School diploma with 14 years of experience
  • must be a US Citizen
  • active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • demonstrated experience evaluating inputs and interpreting DoD Foreign Clearance Guide (FCG) information
  • ability to determine entry requirements into foreign countries for DoD and DoD-sponsored personnel
  • knowledge of international sovereignty issues such as aircraft boarding, customs, inspections, and arctic sovereignty
  • understanding of AF foreign military and foreign operating rights
  • ability to address policy issues related to APACS
  • knowledge of international civil aviation issues related to military operations
  • knowledge of AF freedom of navigation issues and the UN Convention on Law of the Sea
  • knowledge of USAF special weapons overflight issues
  • experience in managing complex and extended projects and operations
  • knowledge of Air Staff, JS, and OSD organization and documentation processes

Job Duties

  • Provide support to ensure compliance with USG policies on aviation related fees
  • manage aircraft and personnel clearance requirements to overseas locations
  • oversee passport and visa requirements for DoD personnel and DoD-sponsored personnel
  • handle various international sovereignty issues
  • provide historical background and address current and future FCP issues including foreign entry and overflight requirements
  • prepare written documentation on FCP policy and procedures
  • develop briefings and represent in interagency forums
  • discuss USG FCP policy with AF, DoD, U.S. Embassies, and NGOs
  • respond to government questions, problems, concerns, and comments on a wide range of FCP issues
