Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 1 to 3 years related experience
  • professional certification may be required in some areas
  • associate’s degree preferred
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using U.S. currency, weights, volume and distance measurements
  • PC literate with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-specific software
  • accurate typing and data entry skills
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • problem-solving skills
  • ability to read, comprehend and write basic correspondence
  • effective coordination and communication skills
  • ability to follow policies, laws and regulations
  • fluent in English

Job Duties

  • Receive, review and process documentation for an assigned base of accounts
  • process documents through the system
  • interface with other CEVA systems to provide updates and communications for internal and external customers
  • obtain release and government agency approvals
  • arrange receiving or delivery
  • ensure accurate and timely invoicing
  • process duties for compliant release and timely delivery including OGA release, cargo delivery setup and client invoicing
  • serve as a single point of coordination between customers, U.S. Customs, and other agencies
  • perform initial reviews and report irregularities
  • provide excellent customer service by proactively informing clients of shipment status
  • coordinate release of goods from carriers and inspections
  • update customer profiles and prepare quotations and communications
  • manage daily pre-alerts to verify freight arrivals
  • continuously improve knowledge through self-study and training
  • perform Import/Export Specialist I responsibilities as needed
  • perform other duties as assigned
