Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to work in a high-noise level environment
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Ability to judge distances accurately

Job Duties

  • Load and unload aircraft of cargo weighing up to 70 lbs in and out of aircraft within confined cargo areas
  • Push, pull, and position loaded containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs on rollers with/to aircraft
  • Drive vehicles with gross weights of 3,000 to 80,000 lbs in congested airport areas and position vehicle near aircraft
  • Engage in aircraft push-out by driving heavy vehicles or providing guide functions during the procedure
  • Transport cargo to and from aircraft using 3,000 lb vehicles and read off-load sheets to determine cargo destinations
  • Communicate effectively with cockpit and ground crew using hand signals and voice commands during ground operations
  • Comply with site security procedures, report security breaches, and assist in monitoring facility security
