Job Requirements

  • HS diploma, GED or equivalent
  • minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
  • must be at least 18 years of age if position requires driving cargo handling equipment
  • valid driver’s license and Port or Airport Authority permit if applicable
  • ability to drive all cargo handling equipment
  • ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days off

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • experience in cargo handling preferred
  • ability to operate cargo handling equipment
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of air carrier and Department of Transportation regulations
  • proficiency in computer data entry
  • problem-solving skills
  • ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
  • leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • fluency in English

Job Duties

  • Perform computer data entry
  • prepare all flight documents
  • interface with U.S. Customs
  • prepare import and export documentation
  • accept and distribute cargo in compliance with regulations
  • compile customer lists for sales leads
  • solicit orders and communicate with customers
  • quote prices and prepare sales contracts
  • estimate delivery dates based on schedules
  • solve practical problems and handle various variables
  • read and interpret printed instructions
  • write legibly to complete paperwork
  • communicate effectively with management
  • perform basic arithmetic operations
  • report to work timely and regularly
  • retrieve and deliver import/export documents to and from aircraft
