Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- must possess clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- must provide proof of legal right to work in the United States
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- able to tolerate moderate to loud noise levels
- stand for up to 3 hours without sitting
- maintain fitness for duty without impairment
- availability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- reliable and responsible work ethic
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in customer service or cargo operations preferred
- ability to type at least 35 words per minute
- proficiency in English including reading and writing
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- basic arithmetic and organizational skills
- familiarity with airway bill procedures and government regulations
- ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- office skills including file maintenance and computer usage
- ability to obtain U.S. Customs seal and airport driving license
Job Duties
- Prepare documentation prior to flight arrival or departure
- travel to Airport Operational Area to meet flight for document exchange
- notify broker or freight forwarder of shipment arrival
- assist customers in retrieving documents and freight
- collect charges and document payment methods
- process proof of delivery for transactions
- assist in completing airway bills for over-the-counter shipments
- confirm bookings and mandatory TSA screening
- ensure dangerous goods compliance and procedures
- capture airway bill data into airline systems
- manifest flight using warehouse information
- print and deliver flight manifests and cargo documents
- verify post-flight inventory and maintain document files
- prepare reports on irregularities and import/export statistics
- respond to calls and emails
- maintain security compliance under airport and TSA regulations
