Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Provide proof of legal right to work in the United States
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Tolerate moderate to loud noise levels
- Stand for extended periods up to 3 hours
- Maintain fitness without impairment from drugs, medication, or alcohol
- Available to work irregular hours, shifts, including holidays, weekends, overtime and extended hours
- Ability to obtain U.S. Customs seal and license to drive on Airport Operational Area
- Ability to follow supervisor instructions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in cargo or import operations preferred
- Typing skills with ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute
- Proficiency in English including reading, writing, speaking, and listening
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of import procedures and government regulations
- Basic office skills including file maintenance and computer literacy
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Prepare documentation prior to flight arrival or departure
- Travel to Airport Operational Area to meet flights and handle documents
- Notify brokers or freight forwarders about shipment arrivals or holds
- Assist customers in retrieving documents and freight
- Collect charges and process payments
- Process customs out proofs
- Assist with airway bill shipments
- Confirm bookings and TSA screenings
- Ensure compliance with dangerous goods procedures
- Capture airway bill data into airline systems
- Manifest flights and print related documentation
- Verify post-flight inventory
- Maintain document filing and records
- Prepare various reports
- Respond to calls and emails
- Maintain security under Airport Police, TSA, and government regulations
