Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Port Authority or Airport Authority permit to use ramp side service roads if applicable
- Must be at least 18 years old if position requires driving cargo handling equipment
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
- Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment
- Ability to step up to an above ground level
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute
- Ability to learn and apply PC skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle fast-paced work environment
- Experience in customer service or aviation industry is a plus
Job Duties
- Computer data entry
- Prepare all flight documents
- Interface with U.S. Customs
- Prepare all import and export documentation
- Accept and distribute cargo in accordance with applicable regulations
- Compile lists of customers for sales leads
- Solicit orders and communicate with customers to complete sales
- Quote prices and terms and prepare sales contracts
- Estimate delivery dates based on company schedules
- Move cargo weighing up to 70 lbs
- Comply with site security procedures
- Monitor and report security breaches or suspicious activities
