As a Campus Retail Associate, you will play an integral part in ensuring the store operates optimally by assisting with sales transactions including cash, credit, and financial aid payments. You will help create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting customers and focusing on their positive experience throughout their visit. You will be expected to take initiative and support store operations, including operating equipment and the cash register efficiently while maintaining a speed of service that meets customer expectations. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining store appearance by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products and store spaces to keep the environment fresh and inviting. Regular housekeeping duties such as dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal are part of the role to ensure cleanliness and safety within the store. Physical demands of the job include frequent movement within the store, the ability to remain stationary for extended periods, frequent lifting, and occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. These physical activities ensure that the store remains well-stocked and maintained. The position includes temporary roles requiring availability on a weekly basis for periods of 90 days or less, including occasional weekends and flexibility with shifts including opening, midday, or closing hours. In some locations such as Colorado, the temporary bookseller pay rate is $15.00 per hour.
