Job Description
Aimbridge Hospitality, recognized as the world's leading global hospitality management company, is dedicated to providing unparalleled hotel management services. With a vast portfolio encompassing over 80 respected hotel brands, Aimbridge strives to create exceptional guest experiences that foster lasting relationships and build strong cultures within its teams. This commitment positions Aimbridge as a trusted hotel operator and employer in the hospitality industry, setting new standards for excellence. The company’s mission revolves around the core value of trust, which underpins its operational philosophy and business success.
The E-Commerce Manager role at Aimbridge Hospitality is a pivotal position responsible for driving the advancement of each assigned hotel’s market share and ensuring the realization of the top-line budget through strategic focus on E-Distribution and innovative online marketing techniques. This role demands a proactive approach to identify and leverage online marketing opportunities by developing direct and semi-direct online channels that enhance the internet presence of Aimbridge properties. The E-Commerce Manager works closely with various stakeholders, including General Managers, Sales teams, and marketing personnel, to increase awareness, understanding, and enthusiasm toward E-Marketing initiatives.
This management-level role requires significant dedication, often necessitating the manager to work as long as needed to accomplish their responsibilities effectively. The E-Commerce Manager serves as the lead advisor for e-commerce and online marketing disciplines within assigned hotels, offering education and guidance to hotel teams. Core responsibilities include analyzing hotel-specific revenue goals and creating comprehensive strategies involving search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, email marketing, and display advertising. Moreover, they manage relationships with third-party online travel agencies (OTAs), Global Distribution Systems (GDS), and brand websites to maximize bookings and profitability.
Another critical aspect of the position is overseeing reputation management processes by monitoring social media and review platforms such as TripAdvisor and Google Reviews, ensuring that each property maintains a positive online image. Regular audits of online presence ensure that hotel websites are up-to-date, visually appealing, and fully functional. The role also emphasizes maintaining inventory controls, developing digital distribution strategies, implementing room rate controls, and partnering with web vendors to coordinate SEO efforts.
In addition to driving individual hotel performance, the E-Commerce Manager champions efforts to grow online bookings for group, meeting, and catering business, supporting broader brand strategies to shift business away from OTAs toward direct bookings. This involves monitoring analytics and trends, generating detailed reports, and developing actionable insights to optimize occupancy and revenue per available room (RevPAR). The manager also frequently engages in business displacement analyses and participates in corporate and on-site training, meetings, and strategic planning sessions.
Candidates for this role should expect and be prepared for occasional travel to assigned hotels and corporate offices to fulfill business needs. Aimbridge Hospitality fosters a culture of reliability, accountability, and continuous improvement, making the E-Commerce Manager role a dynamic and rewarding position for professionals passionate about hospitality e-commerce and revenue management.
