Job Requirements

Ability to see and hear clearly
effective communication skills
physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
manual dexterity for using kitchen tools safely
ability to wash and reset classroom materials after each session
part-time availability during afterschool hours
reliable transportation
willingness to commute to multiple school sites
compliance with district schedules
capacity to work in various environments including exposure to weather conditions

Job Qualifications

Experience working with youth in grades TK-12
background or interest in health, wellness, or basic cooking/meal preparation preferred
comfortable leading small groups and managing a classroom environment
strong communication skills
ability to work independently and follow lesson plans
reliable transportation to travel to school sites

Job Duties

Prepare the classroom space and materials in accordance with provided lesson plans
manage food and ingredient prep before and during class
lead student instruction and maintain behavioral expectations
distribute required RCA program materials to students
communicate regularly with RCA team and site-based afterschool program directors
ensure a fun, engaging, and inclusive environment that supports student wellness
