We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team in the Den/Back of House position. This role is fundamental to maintaining the high standards of Parlor Doughnuts, focusing on the craft of handmaking layered doughnuts from start to finish. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to meet or exceed our quality standards consistently while contributing positively to the team dynamic.
Back of House team members at Parlor Doughnuts are responsible for ensuring the display cases are fully stocked with freshly prepared doughnuts, meeting customer demand throughout the day. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency in the kitchen, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation guidelines to uphold a safe dining experience. Team members will collaborate closely to operate fryers effectively, manage ingredient inventories, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas.
Additionally, the role includes some cross-functional customer service duties, whereby team members assist the front of house in taking orders, answering customer inquiries, and addressing concerns with professionalism and enthusiasm. Being part of a supportive and team-oriented environment, the candidate will also assist in general operational tasks such as sweeping, dishwashing, and waste management as needed.
This position operates on a schedule of Monday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., providing opportunities for individuals looking for consistent afternoon and early evening shifts. Job Requirements
- Must obtain or maintain Serv Safe or state certification
- Must be on time for shift
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic food handling and preparation techniques
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to work a full shift on feet
- Certification or training in kitchen emergencies such as First Aid, CPR, or Fire safety

Job Duties
- Prepare doughnuts from start to finish including preparation, frying and decorating
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations of fryers and manage inventory of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience for customers
- Help front of house by providing excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing customer concerns
- Help with additional duties such as sweeping, dishes, or garbage
