Parlor Doughnuts is currently seeking an experienced Barista to join its dynamic team. This role is essential in upholding the shop’s standards of quality and customer satisfaction through the preparation of expertly crafted coffee beverages and the delivery of exceptional customer service. The Barista will be responsible for preparing quick yet quality cups of coffee, ensuring that every drink served meets or exceeds the Parlor Doughnuts standard. Beyond coffee preparation, the Barista is also expected to educate customers about specialty coffee options and answer any inquiries to enrich their café experience. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and organization within the coffee bar area, adhering to health and safety guidelines, and assisting with front-of-house duties such as doughnut orders and operating the cash register when needed. Collaboration with team members is crucial to ensure efficient operations and smooth inventory management.

This position requires someone who is passionate about coffee and committed to delivering a superior customer experience in a fast-paced environment. The Barista must be able to work afternoons from 12 pm to 6 pm, from Monday through Sunday. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in the food industry or as a barista, with strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine operation. Familiarity with retail math, cash handling, and point-of-sale systems will be advantageous. Excellent customer service skills, effective communication, and the ability to multitask while maintaining physical stamina to work a full shift on their feet are essential qualities.
