Job Requirements

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school
  • admission to the bar
  • minimum of 3 years experience in labor and employment law or related fields preferred
  • excellent legal research and writing skills
  • strong oral advocacy and negotiation capabilities
  • willingness to travel extensively
  • ability to work remotely and manage time effectively
  • commitment to labor rights and union values

Job Qualifications

  • J.D. degree and admission to the bar
  • strong legal writing and research skills
  • excellent oral communication and advocacy abilities
  • demonstrated commitment to workers' rights and labor movement
  • 3+ years experience in labor and employment law, arbitrations, negotiations, or litigation preferred
  • familiarity with commercial aviation industry and Railway Labor Act highly preferred
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • flexibility to travel extensively and work irregular hours

Job Duties

  • Provide legal counsel on grievances, disciplinary issues, and contract administration
  • represent the union in litigation, arbitration, and collective bargaining
  • conduct research, draft briefs, and review legal documents
  • support organizing campaigns, membership mobilization, and public awareness efforts
  • assist with negotiations by preparing proposals and advising union committees
  • engage in travel as required to attend hearings, negotiations, and union activities
  • maintain accurate and timely documentation of legal and negotiation processes
