The company is currently seeking an experienced Assembler to join their skilled production team on a temp-to-hire basis. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for collaborating with a knowledgeable team to assemble critical aircraft components. The work involves following precise job traveler instructions, utilizing hand tools, adhesives, and assembly jigs to ensure components meet strict quality and safety standards. Tasks include wrapping insulation blankets, performing light sanding and abrading on composite and metal parts, and completing riveting assignments using various tools. The assembler must be familiar with a variety of air and pneumatic tools such as impact wrenches, ratchets, sanders, grinders, drills, and air hammers. Additionally, the ability to accurately read and use tape measures is essential for the precision required in aircraft assembly.

Job Requirements

  • 1+ year of recent consecutive work history
  • experience using hand and power tools including rivet guns and pneumatic/air tools
  • familiarity with air tools such as impact wrenches, ratchets, sanders, grinders, drills, and air hammers
  • ability to read, understand, and use a tape measure
  • must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ year of assembly experience in the aerospace industry
  • proficiency with hand and power tools, including rivet guns and pneumatic/air tools
  • ability to read and understand tape measures
  • knowledge of insulation wrapping and composite material handling
  • familiarity with air tools including impact wrenches, ratchets, sanders, grinders, drills, and air hammers
  • strong attention to detail and quality
  • good teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Follow job traveler instructions to assemble parts using hand tools, adhesives, and assembly jigs
  • wrap insulation blankets using utility knives, foam insulation, and insulation tape
  • perform light sanding and abrading on composite, plastic, and some metal components
  • complete light riveting tasks using rivet squeezes and pop rivet guns
  • use air tools such as impact wrenches, ratchets, sanders, grinders, drills, and air hammers
  • accurately measure components using tape measures
  • adhere to quality and safety standards throughout assembly processes
