Job Requirements

  • 230-pound weight limit dressed in flight suit and boots
  • upload pilot license and FAA medical certificate
  • maintain currency on required flight and regulatory training
  • ability to operate under federal aviation regulations
  • physical fitness to perform duties
  • excellent communication skills
  • adaptability to varied operational conditions

Job Qualifications

  • 2000 hours total flight time
  • 1500 hours helicopter time
  • 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
  • 500 hours turbine experience
  • 100 hours night unaided or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
  • previous helicopter air ambulance experience preferred
  • rotorcraft-helicopter commercial certificate
  • rotorcraft-helicopter instrument rating
  • high school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • ensure operations involving company aircraft comply with federal aviation regulations and company manuals
  • operate aircraft safely and efficiently with emphasis on rotorcraft flight manual compliance
  • monitor weather conditions and forecast changes
  • conduct preflight inspections of the aircraft prior to shifts and flights, documenting discrepancies
  • notify maintenance of any aircraft issues and corrective actions
  • report to shifts rested and prepared for duty
  • stay current on weather updates and forecast changes
