Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 7-8 years equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years relevant event planning experience
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel 30% within Northern Illinois and Wisconsin and occasional visits to Memphis
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage budget and vendors
- Problem-solving skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years relevant event planning experience
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with seating and auction software preferred
- Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certification preferred
- Event Professional Certification helpful
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Northern Illinois and Wisconsin
- Ability to handle complex problem-solving and negotiation
Job Duties
- Lead experiential logistics for premier events across Northern Illinois and Wisconsin
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to create engaging and mission-centered event experiences
- Manage expenses and develop creative cost-savings measures
- Address complex and non-recurring problems with innovative solutions
- Adhere to ALSAC policies and procedures while making recommendations for improvements
- Design and manage event decor, food, beverage, and vendors for mid to high-tier events
- Conduct market research, negotiate contracts, and manage projects within budget and timeline
- Proactively handle event day issues and liaise with clients to ensure customer satisfaction
