Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or 7-8 years equivalent work experience
3-5 years relevant event planning experience
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Valid driver’s license
Ability to travel 30% within Northern Illinois and Wisconsin and occasional visits to Memphis
Ability to work a hybrid schedule
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage budget and vendors
Problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3-5 years relevant event planning experience
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with seating and auction software preferred
Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certification preferred
Event Professional Certification helpful
Strong project management and communication skills
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Northern Illinois and Wisconsin
Ability to handle complex problem-solving and negotiation

Job Duties

Lead experiential logistics for premier events across Northern Illinois and Wisconsin
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to create engaging and mission-centered event experiences
Manage expenses and develop creative cost-savings measures
Address complex and non-recurring problems with innovative solutions
Adhere to ALSAC policies and procedures while making recommendations for improvements
Design and manage event decor, food, beverage, and vendors for mid to high-tier events
Conduct market research, negotiate contracts, and manage projects within budget and timeline
Proactively handle event day issues and liaise with clients to ensure customer satisfaction
