Job Requirements
- Must be at 18 years of age to comply with Iowa Child Labor Laws
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation to and from scheduled shifts
- Ability to comply with all uniform policies
- Must possess safety-oriented mindset and understand importance of complying with food preparation and serving regulations
- Must possess exceptional customer service skills with ability to resolve issues positively
- Must be able to speak with guests directly when other F&B leadership is not present
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Previous experience with POS technology and PCI compliance a plus
- Ability to stand, walk and remain on feet majority of workday
- Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat or reach above shoulders
- Ability to withstand heat and humidity from food preparation equipment
- Ability to carry, push, pull, lift and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years of previous work experience in food service, quick service, or restaurant setting
- Previous supervisory experience a plus, preferably in a food or restaurant setting
- Previous amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience a plus
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus
Job Duties
- Supervise the daily operations of the F&B team and any other assigned departments
- Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Adventurelands core values
- Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned hosts
- Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all assigned F&B positions and backfill these positions when needed
- Participate in hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline of assigned hosts
- Ensure compliance with Iowa law regarding meal and other breaks
- Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities
- Welcome all guests with a smile and positive attitude
- Perform opening and closing procedures including food preparation and cleanup
- Teach and enforce proper food safety guidelines adhering to company policy and health department requirements
- Maintain all alcohol safety practices when applicable
- Ensure compliance with company and industry policies to create a safe environment
- Handle and resolve escalated guest concerns positively
- Oversee quality controls and production of food items
- Manage inventory focusing on portion and waste controls
- Coordinate with warehouse on product and supply needs
- Coordinate with maintenance on equipment or physical plant needs
- Perform other duties assigned by leadership
