Job Description

Herschend Enterprises is a distinguished family-owned company renowned for its exceptional themed attractions and immersive experiences. With a legacy spanning over 75 years, the company was founded when the Herschend family uncovered the magic hidden deep within an Ozark Mountain cave and committed to sharing this wonder with the world. Today, Herschend stands as the largest family-held themed attractions company globally, owning and operating 49 premier attractions that captivate audiences worldwide. Each brand under the Herschend umbrella offers unique entertainment and experiences but shares a common mission: to bring families closer together by creating memorable moments that guests cherish and revisit time and again. Central to the company's philosophy is the concept of Heartspitality—the intersection of heart and hospitality—where passionate hosts deliver service fueled by empathy, kindness, and dedication. This philosophy is embodied by every team member, ensuring that guests and staff alike feel welcomed, valued, and respected.

Adventureland Park, part of the Herschend family, is currently seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to manage the operations of its various food and beverage locations throughout the park. This role is an integral part of the park's entertainment and guest service framework. The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing one or more food service locations, ensuring operational excellence in food safety, sanitation, guest service, food preparation, financial transactions, and quality control. The supervisor leads and mentors the F&B team, acting as a role model embracing Adventureland's core values. The position also involves hands-on participation in scheduling, recruitment, timekeeping, training, and daily operational activities to maintain smooth and safe operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong customer-service orientation, supervisory experience in food or restaurant settings, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership. While no formal education is required, at least one year of experience in food service or quick service environments is preferred, with supervisory experience being a plus. Previous experience in amusement, theme, or waterparks is beneficial but not mandatory. Fluency in English is necessary, and bilingual skills are considered an asset. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to comply with Iowa Child Labor Laws and have the ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include the ability to stand for long periods, handle food preparation equipment heat, and lift up to 30 pounds.

This role offers an opportunity to join a vibrant team dedicated to creating joyful and memorable experiences for guests while developing valuable skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Adventureland emphasizes a welcoming workplace where diversity and inclusion thrive, offering flexible scheduling, cross-training opportunities, and exclusive park admissions on scheduled days off. Join Adventureland and contribute to creating unforgettable moments that embody the Herschend mission of bringing families closer together through exceptional hospitality and entertainment.
