Job Description

Managed Mobile, Inc. is the market leader for commercial fleet maintenance in California, Texas, and Nevada, providing dependable and comprehensive mobile maintenance services to keep fleets safe and operational. Established as a trusted partner for commercial vehicle operators, Managed Mobile prides itself on its commitment to developing great people, delivering outstanding client experiences, and building a strong, reputable company. This leadership position in the industry has been built upon a foundation of expertise, innovation, and a dedicated workforce that responds quickly to meet the maintenance needs of a variety of commercial fleets. Managed Mobile’s extensive operational footprint allows for efficient service delivery across multiple states, making it a top choice for fleet maintenance solutions.

The company is currently offering an exciting full-time opportunity for experienced Mobile Technicians seeking career advancement to become Advanced Diesel Technicians. The role focuses on preventative maintenance (PM) and is critical to ensuring the safety, compliance, and reliability of client vehicles. The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing scheduled maintenance tasks, thereby reducing breakdowns and extending the lifespan of commercial vehicles. This position demands strong technical skills, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards within a high-interaction client-facing environment.

The Preventative Maintenance Technician’s day-to-day responsibilities include performing scheduled A and B preventative maintenance services, BIT (Brake Inspection Technician), and Department of Transportation (DOT) inspections. These inspections are essential for compliance with state and federal regulations, helping clients avoid costly violations and ensuring their vehicles are roadworthy. Additionally, the role involves conducting preventative maintenance on trailers and performing limited minor repair work as needed. Technicians are expected to work on a variety of diesel engines, primarily Class 6-8 engines, using computer diagnostic tools to identify and address issues accurately.

Managed Mobile emphasizes operational safety and compliance through strict adherence to regulatory standards including CVSA (Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance) out of service criteria. The ability to work effectively under various weather conditions is essential, as technicians must perform their duties whether indoors or outdoors. The role requires a flexible daily start time from Monday through Friday and involves shifts typically ranging from 8 to 12 hours, totaling approximately 50 hours weekly.

Candidates for the position should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as Mobile Technicians as well as diesel repair experience. Expertise in performing DOT inspections is required, along with familiarity with CVSA criteria for vehicle out-of-service standards. The successful applicant must possess a valid Driver's License, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. Additional skills such as trailer repair work, welding experience, and advanced commercial diesel engine work would enhance a candidate’s qualifications and distinguish them from others.

Managed Mobile offers competitive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with company matching, paid vacation based on tenure, and 40 hours annually of sick leave. The company promotes an inclusive and equal opportunity work environment that prohibits any form of discrimination or harassment. Employment at Managed Mobile is contingent on successful completion of all pre-employment screening processes. This role represents a unique opportunity for skilled technicians who aspire to advance their careers in a dynamic, fast-paced, and supportive company environment focused on growth, quality service, and employee development.
