In collaboration with Rouxbe Cooking School, a leading online culinary education platform, associates are provided with innovative and engaging training to enhance their skills and advance their careers. The partnership offers self-paced, visually appealing lessons that cover a wide range of culinary techniques and knowledge, enabling employees from all culinary experience levels to immediately apply what they learn on the job.
As a Culinary Associate, the responsibilities include preparing and cooking food according to specified recipes, ensuring quality and aesthetic presentation, and following comprehensive food preparation checklists. There is an emphasis on following food safety and hygiene protocols meticulously, using appropriate kitchen tools, appliances, and baking equipment safely and effectively. Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists
- prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances
- follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and personal hygiene procedures
- check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, reporting any issues to management
- wash and disinfect kitchen area, set-up and break-down work station
- follow and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures
- monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift
- follow all company policies and procedures including safety and security
- report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
- maintain cleanliness and professional appearance
- develop and maintain positive working relationships
- comply with quality expectations and standards
- move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds
- perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
