The Support Associate Passport Division role based in Buffalo, NY, presents a valuable opportunity for candidates seeking a stable, full-time, long-term, onsite position within a vibrant government-focused team. This position plays a crucial part in facilitating the processing and administration of passport applications, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to governmental protocols. The role is positioned within the first shift, working Monday through Friday, affording a consistent and predictable schedule with weekly pay. The base pay rate is $19.11 per hour, supplemented by an additional health and welfare pay of $4.93 per hour, which employees can opt to take as cash, apply toward medical premiums, or boost their 401(k) savings.

As a Support Associate Passport Division, the incumbent will engage in a variety of clerical and customer service duties including receiving, reviewing, and processing passport applications accurately and efficiently. The role involves operating office equipment such as scanners and the TDIS-PD system to manage data entry and correspondence tasks. Attention to detail is paramount, as part of the responsibilities includes quality assurance checks for application completeness, document compliance, and fee accuracy. The position also involves providing excellent customer service by assisting applicants at counters and scheduling appointments, enhancing the overall applicant experience. Additional duties encompass administrative functions such as filing, cashiering, receptionist tasks, and support in training fellow agents and maintaining electronic records.

Physical demands of the job require the ability to lift up to 25-30 pounds occasionally, the capability to sit or stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive body movements including pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and lifting. Candidates must be prepared to successfully complete a government MRPT public clearance background check as part of the employment process. This role is ideal for individuals with at least two years of experience in administrative or customer service environments utilizing office equipment and software like Microsoft Office. High school graduation or its equivalent is required.
