Job Requirements
- Two years of experience in administrative services
- Experience substitution allowed for college credits earned
- Ability to accept and follow directions
- Customer service orientation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Compliance with organizational and legal policies
- Availability to work 9 hours Monday to Thursday and 4 hours Friday
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Job Qualifications
- Two years of experience in administrative services
- Ability to accept direction from supervisors
- Strong customer service skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws
- Proficiency in scheduling and data entry
- Familiarity with medical office operations
Job Duties
- Greet patients or customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments with accuracy
- Complete patient registration and explain required paperwork
- Verify and enter patient insurance and demographic information into medical records
- Document patient services accurately and timely
- Track and follow up on patient cancellations and no-shows
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Answer multi-line telephones and respond to inquiries courteously
