Job Requirements

  • Two years of experience in administrative services
  • Experience substitution allowed for college credits earned
  • Ability to accept and follow directions
  • Customer service orientation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Compliance with organizational and legal policies
  • Availability to work 9 hours Monday to Thursday and 4 hours Friday
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in administrative services
  • Ability to accept direction from supervisors
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws
  • Proficiency in scheduling and data entry
  • Familiarity with medical office operations

Job Duties

  • Greet patients or customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments with accuracy
  • Complete patient registration and explain required paperwork
  • Verify and enter patient insurance and demographic information into medical records
  • Document patient services accurately and timely
  • Track and follow up on patient cancellations and no-shows
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Answer multi-line telephones and respond to inquiries courteously
