Job Requirements
- Possess an undergraduate degree
- Clerical or administrative experience
- Volunteer experience in church or nonprofit preferred
- Ability to walk a long distance (up to a quarter of a mile)
- Ability to lift and carry 25-35 lbs parcels for distances of up to 500 feet
- Ability to walk within church venues and stand for 30 minutes or more
- Able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs
- Possess a current unrestricted driver’s license
- Ability to work in a drug-free workplace environment
- Demonstrate responsibility for own safety and safety of others including minors
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be available Monday through Friday for 40 hours a week
Job Qualifications
- Shall possess an undergraduate degree, at a minimum
- Clerical/administrative work or volunteer experience
- Church or nonprofit work or volunteer experience preferred
- Administrative assistance experience preferred
- Attends Crossings on a consistent basis to understand culture, mission, and vision preferred
- Exhibit a passion to walk with people in their faith development
- Be a proven and effective leader in the areas of responsibility attached to this position
- Positive, welcoming attitude and a heart for others
- Strong listening, interpersonal and people skills
- Ability to recognize, work with and maintain confidential information
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making within the scope of the job

- Computer proficiency including database management, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite
- Availability and ability to learn church-related software (ROCK, WRIKE, RAMP, FMX)
- A multi-tasking team player with high energy, strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Answering phones, which often requires a listening ear and a comfort-zone of praying with people in need
- Handling initial intake calls for brides interested in having their wedding in the Crossings Chapel
- Consistently update the hospital list/schedule for the visiting pastor
- Email the hospital schedule out twice daily to insure the most accurate information
- Assisting the Care staff in preparation and hosting of funerals and funeral meals
- Make initial calls to members for surgeries or if in the hospital
- Work with pastors to organize and execute various levels of bereavement follow-up (within an already developed system)
- Assist Flower Ministry Coordinators each week
- order weekly flowers for arranging
- select flower ministry recipients and share with the coordinator
- Organize and initiate work projects with volunteers for members who need the Helping Hands Team
- Attend weekly departmental meetings/monthly general staff meetings
- Assist in maintaining the highest possible ministry standards and professional ethics in accordance with the goals, Purpose Statement, and Core Values of Crossings Community Church
- Support the leadership of CCC, contributing to the spirit of unity among the staff and congregation
- Represent Crossings in civic and ministry-related efforts as approved or requested
- Perform any other duties or tasks to accomplish responsibilities associated with this position or as may be needed or assigned to fulfill the needs, mission and goals of Crossings’ ministries
