The part-time Administrative Assistant role within the Admissions Department is a vital position that supports the college's efforts to attract and enroll a diverse and talented student body. This role primarily involves providing administrative and clerical assistance during evening hours from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, as well as Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Admissions Operations Manager, contributing to the smooth operation of the admissions process and enhancing the overall experience for prospective students and visitors. This position offers an hourly wage between $17.00 and $20.00, reflecting the importance of the role and the level of expertise required.
The Administrative Assistant plays a dynamic role by handling front desk and receptionist duties, managing incoming communications, and welcoming visitors to the college. This position requires updating and maintaining student information in the college's database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. The assistant will also provide general support to department members and assist with organizing and executing special projects and student events such as Open Houses and award receptions. Job Duties
- Front desk/receptionist duties
- answer and transfer calls
- welcome and announce visitors to the college
- update student information in student database
- provide general administrative support to supervisor and department members
- organize, upload and scan data
- special projects, when assigned
- assist with student events, such as open houses, scholars award reception, student social events, etc
- other duties as assigned
