This job opportunity is for a full-time, non-management administrative position located at 270 W 43rd St, New York, NY. The hourly pay range for this role is between $39.33 and $40.33, reflecting the value Marriott places on skilled administrative professionals. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure smooth office operations and excellent service to guests. The successful candidate will be skilled in handling various office equipment and performing data entry tasks to manage and update guest records, reservation files, and other essential documents. Responsibilities include using computers and other office technology to transmit information, prepare correspondence, and manage incoming and outgoing mail.

The role demands meticulous attention to detail in organizing and maintaining both electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring documents related to office activities and business transactions are accurately collected, sorted, and archived. Job Requirements

  • previous administrative or clerical experience preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • enter and retrieve information contained in computer databases using keyboard, mouse or trackball to update files, records and reservations and respond to guest inquiries
  • transmit information or documentation using a computer, mail or fax machine
  • operate standard office equipment aside from computers
  • draft letters, memos and other documents using word processors, spreadsheets, databases or presentation software
  • handle incoming and outgoing mail, date stamp and distribute incoming mail
  • create and maintain filing and organization systems in electronic and paper formats for records, reports, documents etc
  • collect, copy, classify and file records of office activities, business transactions and other activities
  • enter and locate work-related information using computers and point of sale systems
  • comply with all company policies and procedures, maintain clean and professional appearance, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
  • greet all guests according to company standards, anticipate their service needs and address them, assist persons with disabilities and thank guests sincerely
  • communicate clearly and professionally with others, prepare and proofread documents accurately and answer phones using appropriate protocol
  • foster and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to achieve common goals and listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees
  • move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less unassisted
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
