The Receptionist role at Stowers Machinery Corporation is pivotal in maintaining the front-line communication and organizational support that keeps the office functioning effectively. This position is a full-time administrative support role that centers on providing professional and courteous service to visitors, customers, and staff. The Receptionist serves as the initial point of contact for the company, managing visitor reception, directing inquiries, and ensuring seamless communication flow within the office. In addition to greeting and directing visitors, this role handles multiple forms of communication including telephone and email, requiring proficiency with office communications software like Microsoft Teams and Landis Attendant Console. Beyond front desk responsibilities, the Receptionist performs various clerical and administrative duties such as managing mail, maintaining filing systems, and supporting managers and employees with assorted requests. The role demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in administrative environments, preferably within construction, heavy equipment, or industrial sectors, and will possess strong interpersonal and communication abilities to interact confidently with internal teams and external clients. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of administrative experience in a corporate or industrial setting

Job Duties

  • Greets visitors, obtains names, and directs them to the appropriate person or destination
  • manages incoming calls and handles inquiries using Teams and Landis Attendant Console
  • communicates effectively with internal and external customers both in person and over the phone
  • manages incoming calls, emails, and all forms of correspondence
  • prepares various items for mailing and/or internal distribution
  • collects and distributes faxes
  • maintains filing systems and ensures accurate record keeping
  • performs various other clerical duties as requested
