The Administrative & Events Assistant position, under the direction of the Civic Center Manager, plays a pivotal role in supporting the operations of the Bellmead Civic Center. This full-time role involves providing complex and confidential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of a wide spectrum of civic activities. The assistant is tasked with various responsibilities such as handling phone and front desk reception duties, scheduling and coordinating events, processing payments, reviewing mail, and preparing for public and staff meetings. Importantly, the role requires collaboration with internal city departments to coordinate community events, reflecting the position's integral role in boosting community engagement and successful event execution. The position also includes assisting with event setup, running, and teardown when necessary, which demands flexibility and a hands-on approach. This job requires availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends and evening hours, to meet the operational needs of the Civic Center.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of responsible administrative or clerical experience
- Valid Class C Texas driver's license
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and evenings
- City of Bellmead employment application required
- Submission of resume highly encouraged
- Proof of licenses must be submitted
Job Qualifications

- Associates degree or coursework in administrative support preferred
- Experience in municipal or governmental agency preferred

Job Duties
- Provide phone and front desk reception services
