Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • basic computer knowledge with ability to learn company applications
  • good organizational and communication skills
  • positive attitude towards working with elderly residents
  • ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • pass criminal background and fingerprint check
  • maintain current food handler's card
  • work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • ability to problem-solve creatively
  • maintain cleanliness and safety
  • meet state health requirements
  • ability to work independently

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with aptitude to learn company applications
  • good organizational and verbal/written communication skills
  • ability to relate positively and effectively with residents, families, community members, volunteers and staff
  • possesses special interest in working with long-term care residents and the elderly
  • ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • able to pass a criminal background and fingerprint check
  • maintains current food handler's card
  • ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays and overtime
  • creative problem-solving skills in resident care
  • committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
  • able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • meets all mandatory health requirements by state regulations

Job Duties

  • Welcomes visitors in person or on the telephone
  • interacts with visitors, residents and staff in a joyful manner that contributes to the vibrant community
  • provides information to inquiries in support of marketing and sales efforts
  • maintains employee and department directories
  • operates company phone system to receive and connect incoming calls to proper party
  • maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturer's instructions
  • maintains safe and clean reception area
  • performs clerical work such as data entry, filing, sorting and distributing mail
  • documents and communicates actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to maintain work continuity
  • checks bathrooms every 2 hours for cleanliness and supplies
  • vacuums lobby and theatre daily and maintains cleanliness
  • enforces appropriate security procedures
  • maintains clean and clutter-free hallways every 2 hours
  • checks fax machine and distributes faxes
  • may conduct preliminary screening of employment applicants
  • attends and participates in required meetings and trainings
  • performs other duties as assigned
