Job Description
Better Being Co. is a pioneering natural wellness company dedicated to empowering individuals to lead healthier and more vibrant lives through innovative and trustworthy wellness solutions. With operations spanning two locations, including Salt Lake City and Ogden, Better Being Co. prides itself on its award-winning culture and commitment to creating meaningful change in the healthcare industry. The workplace is dynamic and challenging, offering employees an environment where they can grow alongside a passionate, supportive team committed to excellence and personal development.
The Admin/Events Coordinator role at Better Being Co. is designed for a highly organized and versatile professional who enjoys blending creativity with practical execution. This part-time position, typically requiring 20 to 25 hours per week with some flexibility outside of event dates, is critical in orchestrating company-wide events from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be based within the Layton, Clearfield, or North Salt Lake corridor to facilitate smooth travel between the Salt Lake City and Ogden offices.
In this role, the coordinator will manage a wide variety of corporate and organizational events such as town halls, holiday parties, offsite meetings, and wellness initiatives. Responsibilities include venue sourcing, vendor relationship management, catering coordination, audiovisual logistics, and travel arrangements when necessary. The coordinator will also handle budgeting, track expenses, reconcile invoices, and ensure efficient procurement and inventory management of event supplies. The position requires an engaging mix of logistical planning, vendor communication, and hands-on physical setup and teardown duties.
Moreover, the Admin/Events Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact on the ground during events, proactively troubleshooting and addressing issues in real time to ensure the seamless delivery of all experiences. The role involves frequent travel between the company’s two locations and requires reliable personal transportation for efficient site support.
Supporting wellness events plays a significant part in this role. The coordinator will collaborate with the People Team to help plan and execute activities such as lunch-and-learns, fitness challenges, mental health awareness campaigns, and seasonal wellness fairs that reinforce Better Being Co.'s commitment to employee wellbeing.
Candidates with 1-2 years of experience in event coordination, executive support, or employee experience within similar roles are preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace is essential, and familiarity with project management tools is advantageous. The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and excel in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
Physical requirements for the position include the capacity to perform event set-up and teardown activities, which involve lifting up to 30 pounds unassisted, setting up furniture, signage, catering displays, and AV equipment. Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to support special events.
Better Being Co. values diversity, equity, and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination or harassment based on protected characteristics. The company encourages direct applications from candidates and requests that recruiters contact HR prior to submitting resumes. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company that not only innovates in wellness but also fosters a supportive and engaging workplace for its team members.
