The role of Adjunct Faculty in Culinary - Baking/Pastry at College of DuPage is an opportunity to join an institution that champions student success and multicultural education. This adjunct faculty position entails teaching baking and pastry courses in an in-person, face-to-face format within the culinary program. Faculty members are responsible for planning and delivering instruction in classroom, laboratory, or clinical settings. Course delivery may also include hybrid and blended learning formats, accommodating flexible schedules that might involve daytime, evening, and weekend teaching assignments. The position requires active engagement with students, including evaluating student progress and submitting timely and accurate paperwork related to course instruction.

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of five years of relevant industry experience as a pastry chef or chef, alongside an associate’s degree in a related culinary content area. Possession of a Food Service Manager’s License is mandatory. While the courses are delivered face-to-face, preference is given to candidates who have experience with, and the ability to teach effectively using, online and virtual technologies, supported by access to personal technology adequate for these purposes. Adjunct faculty appointments are compensated through stipends for course assignments.
