The Resident Experience Director at Sinceri Senior Living plays a pivotal role in overseeing the Activities Department, ensuring that all programming aligns with the company’s high standards and addresses the unique interests and needs of residents. This leadership position entails managing the department's budget, scheduling, promotion, staff training, and execution of diverse activities that foster social engagement and mental and physical wellness. The Resident Experience Director curates a comprehensive calendar of events that incorporates physical activities, creative expression, cognitive stimulative programs, lifelong learning opportunities, spiritual engagements, well-planned outings, and community involvement. The role is essential in creating a vibrant community culture, promoting resident autonomy, and facilitating opportunities for residents to participate in meaningful ways. This includes maintaining a successful Ambassador program, collaborating on health and wellness initiatives, and employing technology such as the Sagely system for activity planning and communication.

Key responsibilities extend to supervising activities staff, recruiting volunteers, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards. This position requires a blend of creativity, organizational prowess, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with residents, families, and staff members. The Resident Experience Director also supports overall community management efforts, participates in family and resident care discussions, and extends outreach to senior housing networks and referral sources for marketing purposes. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years experience in social or recreational programs in healthcare
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable in evaluating resident needs
  • Ability to establish relationships with residents, families, and staff
  • Strong documentation and basic computer skills
  • Able to respond respectfully and professionally to concerns
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to represent the community positively
  • Experience in training and motivating staff
  • Current valid state driver’s license
  • Must pass criminal background clearance

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Creates and displays a monthly calendar of events based on resident interest and current standards
  • Provide an activities program seven days a week built around resident life profiles
  • Provide and conduct programs including physical activities, creative expressions, cognitive stimulation, lifelong learning, group social programs, indoor and outdoor activities, well-planned outings, spiritual programs, resident involvement, parallel programming, outreach opportunities
  • Establish and manage a successful Ambassador program
  • Collaborate with Health Services Director to maintain a health and wellness program
  • Utilize Sagely for calendar creation, newsletter, and resident profile management
  • Provide direct supervision for Community Programming staff including hiring, evaluation, and discipline
  • Serve as community management team member assisting administrator with management duties
  • Operate department within budgetary guidelines ensuring timely vendor documentation
  • Assist with marketing and networking within senior housing communities
  • Facilitate monthly resident council meetings
  • Train staff and maintain training records
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers completing necessary documentation
  • Foster family and community support through newsletters and networking
  • Provide new employee orientation on programming and aging sensitivity
  • Develop training calendar
  • Role model communication and behavior management strategies
  • Participate in resident and family care conferences
  • Observe and report resident condition changes
  • Conduct new resident family interviews
  • Coordinate resident interests in care plans
  • Arrange programs with outside organizations
  • Maintain social histories and profiles
  • Manage supply inventory and purchasing
  • Support safe and dignified resident care
  • Monitor OSHA and state regulation compliance
