Job Requirements

  • Education to at least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years in administration or a related field
  • Valid driver license and dependable transportation
  • Experience in patient-facing roles with structured activities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office applications
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passion for improving consumer health experiences

Job Qualifications

  • Two or more years in a previous administrative role
  • Experience in a patient-facing role involving structured and planned activities
  • Ability to work independently under general instructions and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Effective and professional communication with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Passion for contributing to organizations focusing on improving consumer experiences
  • Preferred experience as a personal trainer or in wellness and recreational activities
  • Front desk and sales experience
  • Degree in a health-related field
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults or geriatric populations
  • Familiarity with community health outreach programs
  • Nutrition knowledge
  • Health plan experience including Medicare/Medicaid
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (ECW)

Job Duties

  • Schedule Wellness Center meeting rooms and fitness rooms for pre-programmed classes, activities and/or events
  • Plan, promote and coordinate fitness programs providing members with a variety of activities
  • Greet patients and verify insurance coverage and eligibility
  • Review new patient registration and enter new patient information into the computer system
  • Perform basic administrative, clerical, operational, customer support and computational tasks
  • Ensure day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center meet participant needs
  • Work under close supervision following established policies and guidelines
