Job Description

Timber Ridge at Talus is a senior living community located in Issaquah, Washington, uniquely situated at the base of Cougar Mountain. This vibrant community is renowned for its exceptional lifestyle offerings tailored for seniors who enjoy an active and engaging way of life. Our residents are well-traveled, outdoor-loving individuals who often explore various parts of the world, yet they cherish the time spent socializing over meals, hiking nearby trails, and soaking in the breathtaking Pacific Northwest views. As the first Silver LEED-certified Life Care Services community in the area, Timber Ridge embodies a commitment to environmental sustainability and superior hospitality. The campus and its natural surroundings perfectly reflect the residents' deep appreciation for the Pacific Northwest's beauty and lifestyle. The community prides itself on offering an all-inclusive living experience uncommon in the region, blending top-notch services, amenities, and a scenic environment to foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The role we are currently hiring for is a part-time Activities Assistant position within the Briarwood Health Center, a specialized segment of Timber Ridge dedicated to Memory Care and Assisted Living residents. This role is essential to the well-being and holistic care of our seniors as it involves assisting with the planning and execution of diverse activities designed to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. The Activities Assistant will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by encouraging participation in reality orientation, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, and special events. Working closely under the guidance of the Memory Care/Assisted Living Activity Coordinator, this individual will help coordinate volunteer efforts, prepare event calendars, and ensure all activities are run smoothly and effectively. This position offers compensation between $23 to $24 per hour, depending on experience, and provides a supportive, engaging environment that fosters both personal and professional growth.

In addition to the rewarding nature of the role, Timber Ridge at Talus offers an extensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability insurance; a 401(k) plan with company match; and access to health and flexible savings accounts. Other perks like same-day pay, employee assistance programs, paid time off, and six paid holidays contribute to a comprehensive employment experience. Complimentary amenities such as free meals, underground parking, gym access, shower facilities, and transportation support further enrich the work environment. We are also committed to continuous professional development, providing ongoing training and career advancement opportunities to our team members. If you are passionate about senior care, hospitality, and creating meaningful engagement for older adults, we encourage you to apply and join our fun and dynamic team at Timber Ridge at Talus.
