Job Description

SHC is a reputable healthcare organization that operates four distinct facilities, each specializing in unique aspects of care and rehabilitation. These include The Elms, a Medicare-certified skilled nursing facility focusing on rehabilitation services for all ages; The Pines, which offers individualized care for young adults with Acquired Brain Injuries; The Willows, providing both intermediate and skilled medical and mental health care; and The Woods, a specialized mental health rehabilitation facility (SMHRF) known for its quality recovery program for the mentally ill. This diverse portfolio highlights SHC's commitment to serving a broad range of patient needs with dedication and specialized programming.

The Activity Assistant role at SHC plays a critical part in enriching the lives of patients across these facilities by facilitating diverse and engaging activities. Candidates will work closely with patients to maximize their involvement by providing personal invitations, transportation, and reminders, ensuring that the activities contribute significantly to their overall well-being and recovery. The position demands strong organizational skills to complete required documentation and attendance sheets accurately. SHC values inclusivity and equal opportunity employment and offers a supportive atmosphere for new hires, including those without prior experience in long-term care or behavioral health, as training is provided.
