Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to act in a resident's best interest and make responsible choices and decisions
  • ability to lead activities and motivate residents and fellow team members
  • ability to handle multiple priorities in a timely manner
  • excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • organization and time-management skills
  • demonstrated proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office: Windows, Outlook, and Excel

Job Duties

  • Follow Department of Resident Services' established policies, procedures, and organizational plan for the Seaside activity program
  • Develop a monthly activities calendar and assist with the information needed for the newsletters
  • Plan and coordinate educational, health and wellness programs to stimulate and meet the needs of the residents
  • Keep records and report resident responses to the activity program, including assessments on new residents
  • Lead and encourage residents in discussion and special interest groups, games and other activities including creative crafts, bingo, gardening, parties, rhythm band, sing-a-long, decorating, drama activities, movies, cultural activities and religious programs
