Job Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Experience working effectively with diverse, low-income, homeless or formerly homeless populations
- Activity coordination, event planning or volunteer coordination experience
- Experience leading and developing training and workshops
- Valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Creativity and enthusiasm with ability to engage diverse populations
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to complete accurate paperwork and write business correspondence
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand and apply technical language from manuals and policies
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Successful completion of background, reference checks, and TB screening
- Proficient in English communication
- Preferably experienced in non-profit or public sector
- Knowledge of Harm Reduction model preferred
- Familiarity with San Francisco resources preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred
Job Qualifications

- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Must pass all post-contingency offer background checks, reference checks, and TB screening clearances
- Proficient in English reading, oral communication, and writing
- Experience working in non-profit or public sector preferred
- Understanding of a Harm Reduction model preferred
- Knowledge of San Francisco resources preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred
Job Duties
- Collaborate with Support Services and Property Management staff at each THC residential property to plan, organize, facilitate and/or implement supportive social, life skills activities and events that enrich tenants’ lives and foster positive communities
- Maintain a list of all ongoing activities and events planned for tenants in THC Permanent Supportive Housing
- Collaborate with Case Managers to ensure all supplies and food for ongoing and programmatic activities and events are ordered, purchased and/or received by the proper staff at each residential property
- Drive THC’s truck to shop for, pick up and deliver supplies
- Manage the support services community events budgets to ensure spending is sustainable and effectively used throughout the fiscal year
- Serve as the primary contact for external organizations and partners that provide activity related services to THC
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of resources available in the community for residents’ benefit
- Ensure all external organizations and partners providing activity services have appropriate agreements and documents prior to commencing services
- Provide training and appreciation events for tenant volunteers who assist with on-site Food Pantry program and other activities
- Participate in and/or lead activities within THC and in collaboration with partner agencies to build professional capacity and enhance relationships
- Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations and individuals, emphasizing on-site services to residents
- Organize and develop various workshops including life skills, social skills, new tenant orientation, and overdose prevention
- Spearhead the Annual Tenant Appreciation Day planning in collaboration with other THC departments
- Respond promptly to phone messages, tenant/client requests, staff requests, and emails
- Maintain confidentiality of tenant/client records and concerns
- Attend all scheduled meetings and participate as requested
