Job Description
AmeriGas Propane, established in 1959, is the nation’s premier propane company and the largest distributor of propane across the United States. The company proudly serves over 1.5 million residential, commercial, industrial, and motor fuel propane customers. With a workforce of more than 6,500 dedicated professionals, AmeriGas operates more than 1,800 distribution points nationwide and delivers over 1 billion gallons of propane every year. AmeriGas has built a strong reputation for its commitment to safety, customer service, and employee development. This longstanding history and leadership position in the propane industry creates stability and abundant career growth opportunities for its employees. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and fosters an environment of inclusivity and diversity.
AmeriGas is currently seeking an energetic and skilled candidate to join their team as an ACE Regional Over-the-Road Delivery Representative. This is a critical role within the company’s logistics and delivery operations, responsible for delivering gas grill cylinders by tractor-trailer truck to various AmeriGas locations. The ACE Regional Over-the-Road Delivery Representative is tasked with loading and unloading pallets of cylinders at district locations and production facilities, ensuring that products are delivered safely and efficiently. Truck operations allow for layovers to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory hours, and vehicles are equipped with sleeper cabs to support longer routes.
This position is vital in meeting delivery goals and repair objectives to maintain customer satisfaction. The ACE Regional Delivery Representative communicates daily with the ACE Operations Manager, collaborating to adjust work activities and may assist in tank refurbishing activities to further support business needs. The role demands strong physical stamina, as it involves outdoor work in all weather conditions, climbing in and out of trucks, and repeatedly lifting 50 pounds throughout the day. Forklift operation knowledge and a CTEP certification are desirable qualifications. Flexibility in work schedule and delivery routes is necessary to accommodate customer service demands and compliance with safety regulations.
The company offers competitive compensation ranging from $30.50 to $31.50 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and other factors. Additional compensation opportunities include performance-based bonuses or commissions depending on job performance. AmeriGas strongly supports professional development through paid training, annual performance reviews, salary increases, career advancement opportunities, and tuition reimbursement. The comprehensive benefits package provided includes exceptional medical, dental, and prescription drug coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, 17 paid time off days plus seven paid holidays, uniform provisions, and propane discounts for employees. AmeriGas is committed to being a drug-free workplace and maintains strict compliance with safety and legal requirements for all employees.
Joining AmeriGas means becoming part of a nationally recognized leader in the propane industry, offering an exciting and rewarding career path. The ACE Regional Over-the-Road Delivery Representative role is ideal for candidates with strong driving skills, a valid commercial driver’s license with appropriate endorsements, and a commitment to safety and quality customer service. Workers in this role enjoy the challenge of regional hauling along with the support of a reputable company that values its employees and their success.
