Job Description

FIFA26 is the organizing body responsible for delivering the extraordinary and unforgettable experience of the FIFA World Cup 26, scheduled to be held across North America in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. This upcoming FIFA World Cup is groundbreaking as it is the first time the tournament will feature 48 teams, marking a significant expansion from previous editions. The event is poised to redefine excellence in international soccer by engaging fans and players in unprecedented ways across a vast geographic region. FIFA26's mission is to unite the world through the greatest sporting event of all time, fostering greater participation and bringing together diverse cultures and communities through the universal language of soccer. The organization emphasizes innovation, inclusivity, and teamwork throughout the planning and delivery of the event, leveraging a talented workforce that spans multiple continents and cultural backgrounds.

The role of the Accreditations Regional Operations Manager, specifically for the West regional cluster, is a critical position within the FIFA26 Accreditation team. This role reports to the Senior Manager Accreditation Operations and involves overseeing the accreditation operations across multiple host cities in the Western United States, including Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Seattle. The Accreditation department is a diverse and international team with members from countries such as Greece, India, Italy, the US, Canada, and members of the FIFA Zurich department with Swiss-German, German, Russian, and Dutch backgrounds. This collaborative environment underscores the global nature of the project and highlights the importance of cross-cultural communication and management.

As Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for representing FIFA’s accreditation interests in your assigned regional cluster, ensuring the smooth operation of accreditation functions at two or more host city venues. Your work will include managing venue accreditation teams, developing and implementing accreditation policies, coordinating technology and infrastructure for Accreditation Centres, and coordinating stock management of accreditation supplies. You will work closely with suppliers, the Access Management Department, and other operational teams to ensure all accreditation-related activities adhere to FIFA26’s standards and timelines. The role demands an ability to travel among venues for planning and event support and requires the successful candidate to reside at an agreed-upon venue during the tournament period to best support event logistics.

This fixed-term, full-time position is based onsite in Los Angeles and is part of a significant, once-in-a-lifetime global sporting event. With a competitive salary range of $93,000 to $105,000 (California-based), the position offers an attractive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as a 401k retirement plan. FIFA26 values candidates with a strong commitment to accountability, inclusive leadership, initiative, and innovation, and seeks someone who can lead multicultural teams effectively while upholding the integrity and fairness essential to FIFA’s mission. This role is perfect for a problem-solver with experience in accreditation operations and a passion for sports event management who wants to contribute to a historic global event.
