This opportunity is available with two of Discovery Land Company's elite properties: Dune Deck Beach Club in Westhampton Beach, NY, and The Hills in East Quogue, NY. The Hills is a close-knit community consisting of 110 residences in the heart of the Hamptons. It serves as a premier summertime retreat for families looking to escape the bustle of city life and enjoy nature, wellness, and recreation through amenities such as a world-class Tom Fazio golf course, a comprehensive wellness center, and exceptional culinary offerings. Dune Deck Beach Club complements this by providing extensive beach programs and beachfront experiences just 15 minutes away from The Hills.
The position open is for a part-time, seasonal Accounts Receivable Specialist, running from April to October 2026. This role is housed within the Finance and Accounting Department and plays a crucial part in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the accounts receivable processes across both properties. The specialist will be responsible for processing payments, tracking receivables, maintaining aging records, and ensuring proper communication with clients, management, and club members regarding account statuses.
This role requires excellent communication skills to interact effectively with management teams and club members concerning account discrepancies, past due balances, and general account inquiries. The Accounts Receivable Specialist must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to company policies and procedures. The position offers hourly compensation ranging from $26.00 to $28.00 per hour, along with benefits such as employee meals, referral incentives, recognition programs, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work-family culture.

Job Requirements
- Associates or bachelors degree from accredited college or university
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with TEI or similar point of sale software
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and pay attention to detail
- Must maintain a positive and respectful attitude
- Must comply with company policies and legal regulations
- Availability for part-time seasonal work from April to October 2026
Job Qualifications
- Associates or bachelors degree from accredited college or university, preferably in finance, accounting, business, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of work-related skill, knowledge and experience preferred
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, preferred
- Proficiency in software applications TEI or similar point of sale systems
- Adheres to the Discovery Land Company’s projects policies and procedures
- Effectively manage time and has exceptional attention to detail
- Maintains a positive and respectful attitude
- Communicates regularly and effectively with all employees, supervisors, managers and accounting team
- Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
- Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position
- Meets departmental productivity, organization, and consistency standards
- Complies with laws, ordinances, and regulations
- Performs work in a safe and high-quality manner
Job Duties
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
- Perform daily cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger within TEI
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail
- Communicate discrepancies to management team, post member adjustments as necessary
- Communicate with members regarding past due accounts, statement questions, and other member related questions
- Participate in special projects as assigned
- Perform other duties as necessary according to management direction
