Job Requirements
- At least 6 years of related progressive experience in hotel accounting or related field
- or a 4-year college degree with an accounting or finance concentration and a minimum of 2 years of related progressive experience
- or a 2-year college degree and a minimum of 4 years of related progressive experience
- Proficient in Windows, company approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Maintain warm and friendly demeanor
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Participate in management on duty coverage as required
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate hotel standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing nametags
- Comply with Highgate hotel standards and regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Effective in handling and solving problems
- Ability to understand and evaluate complex information
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Effectively manage and communicate cash flow related issues
- Prepare monthly financial statements including cash flow statements
- Manage receivables, payables, and cash balances
- Monitor hotel revenues and expenses ensuring accurate recording
- Create annual budgets and monthly variance analysis
- Investigate variances to budget or prior year and offer improvement methodologies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory licenses, leases, contracts, and operational taxes
- Analyze financial data to assist management in meeting financial objectives
- Comply with standard accounting policies and internal controls
- Review and approve balance sheet accounts and conduct bank reconciliations
- Audit internal financial controls including purchasing, cash handling, and payroll
- Coordinate internal and external financial audits
- Hire, train, and supervise accounting staff
- Maintain compliance with Highgate Hotels standards for hotel operation
- Prepare and submit all required financial reports
- Interact with executive committee to ensure property operations stability
- Monitor hotel daily operating reports and report deadlines
- Execute other special projects as assigned
