Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of two years of hotel accounting experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, internal controls, and hospitality operations
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Comfort with hotel systems (PMS, POS) and intermediate Excel and reporting software skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to manage competing priorities

Job Duties

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash control functions for multiple hotels
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, USALI, and all applicable White Lodging policies and standards
  • Provide financial insight and counsel to hotel department heads, supporting data-driven decisions
  • Assist in developing and reviewing annual budgets and forecasts while identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency
  • Generate accurate, timely financial reports and share key insights with hotel leadership
  • Maintain a strong control environment to safeguard assets and mitigate business risks
  • Lead and mentor accounting team members, supporting their professional development
  • Monitor audit findings, implement corrective actions, and ensure system data accuracy
  • Stay current on tax compliance, licensing, permits, and vendor agreements
