The role of Account Manager within Ecolab’s Food & Beverage team is a critical position responsible for driving sales while providing expert technical guidance in sanitation for food and beverage manufacturing environments. Based in Little Rock, AR, this position involves managing a territory within approximately a 150-mile radius. The Account Manager is expected to build strong relationships with customers, understand their plant operations and business goals, and offer Ecolab’s innovative products, equipment, and services to meet their sanitation and operational needs.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food, beverage, or dairy sanitation roles
  • Demonstrated sales experience
  • Strong understanding of sanitation and food safety
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel within a 150-mile radius
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Job Duties

  • Build a solid understanding of Ecolab products, plant operations, customer business objectives, and applicable government regulations
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations on Ecolab’s innovative products, equipment and services
  • Provide industry expertise to customers in terms of sanitation, safety, quality and operations including assisting with sanitation plans and programs, standard operating procedures, evaluating processes and procedures, identifying and implementing operational efficiencies, and employee training
  • Develop strategic work plans for completing sales and service/consultation calls with new and existing customers
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of plant staff
  • build strong business relationships and networks
  • Manage Ecolab products and equipment
  • participate in equipment installations, observe and test equipment and product performance, repair or adjust equipment, adjust chemical concentration levels, monitor product inventory and place orders
