Job Description

Marriott International, headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its expansive portfolio of luxury hotel brands and commitment to exceptional guest experiences. Among its premier luxury offerings is the Ritz-Carlton Reserve brand, which epitomizes exclusivity, sophistication, and unparalleled service tailored for the ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clientele. Marriott International prides itself on fostering an inclusive and dynamic work environment, offering comprehensive benefits and promoting a culture where associates from diverse backgrounds thrive and contribute to the company's ongoing success.

This opportunity is for a full-time Global Luxury Account Director position, primarily focused on the US and Canadian markets, operating remotely or in a hybrid mode based on candidate location. The role commands a competitive salary range between $100,400 and $187,500 annually, with eligibility for performance bonuses. Reporting directly to the Director of Global Sales for the Bulgari Hotels and Resorts brand, the selected candidate will work closely with the Luxury Group Global Sales Organization (GSO) to drive strategic business development and account management within the luxury travel sector.

As the Global Luxury Account Director, you will serve as a luxury hospitality specialist responsible for managing and expanding relationships with the most profitable luxury travel agencies affiliated with the Ritz-Carlton Reserve brand. The primary objective is to increase brand preference, customer loyalty, and market share among UHNW leisure travelers and small groups. You will employ a proactive "hunter" sales mentality focused on uncovering new business opportunities and generating innovative strategies to enhance client engagement and drive revenue growth across strategically assigned accounts.

In this role, exceptional account management skills are critical, including detailed account mapping, revenue stream analysis, and the execution of comprehensive customer relationship plans. You will collaborate extensively with the property and brand teams worldwide to ensure effective implementation of luxury segment strategies. This involves continuous market activation efforts, performance tracking, and liaising with cross-functional teams such as the Marriott GSO to resolve issues and optimize profitability.

Candidates must have a deep understanding of luxury consumer demographics, buying habits, and market trends to tailor sales approaches effectively. They will also act as ambassadors of the brand, advocating for sound business decisions and maintaining the highest standards of business ethics and integrity. Essential duties include conducting competitive market assessments, developing breakthrough strategies to protect and strengthen the brand's competitive advantage, and building a portfolio of high-potential direct end customers.

The ideal candidate possesses at least a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related major with a minimum of three years' relevant professional experience demonstrating consistent growth and outstanding performance. Alternatively, candidates with five or more years of relevant marketing or related experience may qualify. Familiarity with luxury leisure, sales and marketing, account management, and hotel industry experience is preferred. Experience in managing entertainment accounts and geographic location in Florida, Texas, or California are additional advantages.

Marriott International emphasizes work-life balance and offers extensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, paid parental leave, educational assistance, and participation in retirement and stock purchase plans. The company is a staunch equal opportunity employer, fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This role represents an exceptional chance for dynamic sales professionals passionate about luxury brand management to excel within a leading global hospitality organization.
