Job Description
Warrior Services Company LLC is a reputable provider of Durable Medical Equipment (DME), Mobility, and Access services catering to both federal government and commercial clients across the United States. The company specializes in delivering Home Medical Equipment (HME) and comprehensive services that include all forms of durable medical equipment, home oxygen services, and the sales and repairs of complex rehabilitation power mobility devices. Their primary clientele includes the Department of Veterans Affairs and other federal agencies, emphasizing their commitment to supporting veterans and healthcare providers with essential medical equipment and solutions.
As a full-time Medical Delivery/DME Technician based in Amarillo, TX, this position plays a vital role in ensuring that veterans receive the appropriate medical equipment and home care supplies needed for their daily lives. The technician is responsible for delivering, assembling, and installing various types of DME, including beds, lift chairs, wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, commodes, and vertical platform lifts (VPL), directly to veteran homes within a 120-mile radius of Amarillo. This role requires driving company vehicles, maintaining equipment, and providing thorough orientations and instructions to veterans on the proper usage of the delivered medical equipment. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging between $20.00 to $25.00 and includes benefits such as health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with matching contributions.
The role demands a combination of technical skill and customer service aptitude, as technicians must conduct minor repairs, perform follow-up servicing, and respond to veteran inquiries regarding equipment operation and troubleshooting. Reliable attendance and adherence to safety and maintenance protocols for vehicles and equipment are critical to the position. The technician is also expected to assist with warehouse duties and maintain cleanliness in warehouse environments when assigned.
Given the nature of the work, candidates must have prior delivery experience and preferably specific experience with delivering medical equipment. Experience in construction, assembly, or electrical work, particularly with low voltage electrical systems, is highly valuable for this position. The job also requires the ability to pass background checks and drug testing. Additionally, holding a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and the willingness to travel to patient homes and other locations are mandatory requirements.
Overall, this role is ideal for motivated individuals interested in supporting veterans by providing essential medical and mobility equipment, combining hands-on technical work with meaningful customer interaction. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and incentives after successful employment tenure, along with company-provided tools such as a vehicle, mobile device, and toll pass or gas card to facilitate daily operations.
