Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • related technical diploma preferred
  • a comparable combination of education and directly related experience may be considered
  • minimum of one year of related experience in an office setting preferred
  • courteous and pleasant demeanor with co-workers, students and the general public
  • ability to effectively and tactfully communicate in various forms with employees, students and the public at all levels
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • mature attitude and dependability
  • experience using business software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced office environment
  • ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees

Job Duties

  • performing general office duties including sending/receiving mail
  • serving as primary receptionist
  • purchasing/receiving graduation supplies for students and faculty at the Dickson and Clarksville campuses
  • performing tasks related to new student orientation, graduation and special industry classes
  • providing admissions/enrollment information to students and prospective students
  • scheduling and conducting tours for prospective students
  • entering data in online student information management system
  • ordering, receiving and distributing office supplies for the department
  • assisting students with self-registration and surveys
  • maintaining the Clarksville Campus scrapbook
  • assisting with campus tours and special events, and other duties as assigned
