Job Description
Our company is proud to present an opportunity to join the dynamic team at the AC and Residence Inn Dallas Frisco, a distinctive hospitality complex housing two esteemed brands under one roof. This property features a combined total of 300 modern and stylish guest rooms designed to offer harmonious and compelling experiences to all who visit. Located conveniently near The Star sports complex and a variety of dining options, guests enjoy not only the comfort and modernity of the accommodations but also access to local attractions and amenities such as a licensed Starbucks store, an inviting AC Lounge serving craft cocktails, and welcoming meeting spaces ideal for corporate gatherings or social events. This fast-paced, teamwork-oriented environment is firmly rooted in a culture committed to creating "warm memories and energizing connections" with guests and teammates alike, enhancing their experience and making their stay enjoyable and memorable.
We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Catering Manager to join our vibrant team. As a pivotal role within our hotel management structure, the Catering Manager will be responsible for orchestrating all aspects of catering sales and service, ensuring every event is executed flawlessly and to the highest standards. This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM) role, which means overtime applies and is compensated accordingly. It is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who thrives in high-energy settings and enjoys blending creativity with strategic sales efforts. The Catering Manager will operate as both a sales superstar and relationship rock star, responsible for meeting and exceeding sales and revenue targets, pursuing new accounts, and maintaining enduring relationships with clients ranging from leisure guests and business travelers to SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal) groups.
Additional responsibilities will include leading engaging sales tours, managing event lists, banquet orders, and schedules with precision, and being an influential presence in the local community through participation in industry gatherings. The ideal candidate will be a service enthusiast who consistently delivers professional, upbeat, and attentive guest and team interactions while ensuring compliance with company standards and catering performance metrics. As a team player extraordinaire, the Catering Manager will actively engage in meetings, contribute to special promotions, and provide support wherever managerial assistance is needed. Furthermore, the role demands a trusted trailblazer who safeguards sensitive areas and information, earns trust through exemplary responsibility, and consistently represents the company with stellar judgment and integrity.
Regarding the qualifications and skills required, the Catering Manager should possess at least a high school diploma or its equivalent, with previous catering sales experience highly preferred. Creativity paired with a knowledge of food and beverage trends will be advantageous. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license for the applicable state and demonstrate well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to negotiate effectively, sell convincingly, and influence key stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy are essential, as is the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Strong organizational and presentation skills are also crucial to success in this role.
After an initial waiting period, full-time employees become eligible for a competitive benefits package, which includes daily pay options, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability income, term life and AD&D insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan. If you are looking for a rewarding career in the hospitality industry with ample growth potential, the AC and Residence Inn Dallas Frisco is the ideal place to advance your professional journey. We look forward to welcoming motivated individuals who are ready to make a meaningful impact by creating exceptional experiences for our guests and maintaining the high standards of our unique dual-brand complex.
